Fuji-Q Highland Theme Park, Fujiyoshida, Yamanasha, Japan 16 March 2014/ Family Travelogue

Family trip to Japan March 2014

At the Changi Airport, Singapore, on our way to our boarding area

The girls never got bored with their forever best friend gadget while waiting for our flight.

We had spent our first day in Japan at Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanasha Prefecture.
We were at the Kawaguchiko (Lake Kawaguchi) in the morning.
After lunch, we spent the rest of the day at Fuji Q Highlands.

Fuji Q Highlands is one train stop from Kawaguchiko station.

We were undecided if we take the rides.  The screams of the riders of the roller coaster shown on the photo behind us were very scary evident by the steep railways.

We finally took the craziest ride we had ever tried, Eejanaika roller coaster.  The queue was very long.  It took us over an hour. The ride cost 1000Yen.  We did not purchase the ride all you can.  We first paid 500yen for the admission to the park.

We were a bit crazy after the ride.  Eejanaika consists of three different kinds of spins:  seat forward and backward, loops and flip-flops through the air and spinning with twists while racing down the track.  We were also hanged with our feet dangling, no where to place.

The 2nd and last ride we took was the Dodonpa.  I could say the fastest among the fastest roller coaster in the world.  It was like we were thrown out of the plane and I could not remember if I was able to breathe during the ride.

It took us two hours queuing this ride.  We were a bit scared, it was very late, we would miss our bus to go back to Tokyo.  Had we missed the bus???  at the foot of Mt. Fuji???  we could had been frozen to death.  The last time we had checked, the buses were fully booked.

We were a bit thankful the queue was very long, we did not have to challenge ourselves to take the other two extreme roller coasters:

Takabisha, the steepest drop in the world and the

Fujiyama, the king of the coasters with the maximum speed of 130km/hr, maximum drop of  70m and maximum height of 79m
